LanHi Intelligent Drilling and Arch Integrated Trolley Assists in the Construction of the Yuku High-Speed Railway Laifu Tunnel
The Yuku High-Speed Railway is part of China's national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" railway network, and the Laifu Tunnel is a double-track tunnel in the Sichuan-Chongqing section of the Yuku High-Speed Railway, with a total length of 4616 meters. This tunnel is located at the junction of Xuzhou District in Yibin City and Gao County, with mostly low mountains and large undulations, and a maximum burial depth of approximately 314 meters.
The geological strata traversed by the tunnel are mainly mudstone interlayered with sandstone and sandstone interlayered with mudstone, and the tunnel also passes through one fault of the Fojie Mountain, one goaf area, and two fractured zones, with numerous rock fissures. Facing challenges such as coal seam gas, goaf areas, and gradients, this is a challenging project.
On September 12, 2021, construction officially started on the Laifu Tunnel of the Yuku High-Speed Railway Sichuan-Chongqing section Station Front Lot Six. China Railway Third Engineering Bureau undertook the construction task and introduced various large-scale mechanical equipment, including multifunctional drilling rigs, rock breaking trolleys, and arch assembly trolleys, to cope with the complex geological conditions.
The LanHi Intelligent Drilling and Arch Integrated Trolley is suitable for full-section and step-by-step tunnel construction. It adopts a sturdy integrated chassis engineering platform equipped with dual rock drilling arms and a stand, with features such as four-wheel steering, four-wheel drive, and bidirectional driving. It is easy to operate, with low failure rates and high reliability, effectively improving the efficiency and safety of tunnel construction.
The large-scale mechanized construction of the Laifu Tunnel has achieved normalized operations, providing valuable experience for improving the level of railway tunnel construction, overcoming quality issues, reducing construction costs, and enhancing safety.

The Dazhou Beltway West Expressway project is one of the beltway loops around 18 prefecture-level cities in Sichuan Province, providing a fast connection between various development clusters in the Dazhou urban area. On September 26, 2022, important projects such as the Anyun Hub Interchange and the Xianpodeng Tunnel of the Dazhou Beltway Expressway officially commenced construction.
The Xianpodeng Tunnel is located in Shixiahu Village, Shuanglong Town, Tongchuan District, and is one of the key projects of the west section of the beltway expressway. The tunnel has a maximum burial depth of 202.5 meters, with a length of 2864 meters for both the left and right lines. The net width of the tunnel is 10.75 meters, and the net height is 5 meters. The entrance of the tunnel is located in a landslide area, crossing two water diversion tunnels, and the surrounding rocks are classified as Grade IV and V. The tunnel type is a small net distance + separated long tunnel, with extremely complex geological conditions and poor surrounding rock properties.
The LanHi intelligent integrated drilling and arch trolley is a dual rock drilling and vertical arch integrated trolley that meets the needs of tunnel full-section construction and the benching method. The machine features a rigid integrated frame engineering chassis and dual rock drilling arms. The standing arch frame features a dual arm design, with three grippers and two hanging baskets. It provides four-wheel steering, four-wheel drive, and two-way driving, and supports electric construction and dieselpowered emergency response. It is easy to operate, has a low failure rate, high reliability, compact structure and convenient maintenance.
At 9:00 a.m. on March 26, 2024, construction of the Xianpodeng Tunnel on the west section of the Dazhou Beltway Expressway officially commenced. Currently, the right line of the tunnel has smoothly entered the tunnel, and the excavation face construction has been fully initiated, while the left line has already excavated 256 meters.
